Peter Rozanski

Peter left Mosinee for Racine, WI where he lived with relatives of his Mother Mary. he lived and worked in Racine, WI for a time and eventually joined the Merchant Marines, serving as a 2nd cook while sailing the Great Lakes. He married Cora Hartwig in Mosinee on May 8, 1954. Son Alan was born on July 18, 1955. In 1961 he moved his family to Chicago, IL until returning back to Mosinee in 1965. He and Cora owned and operated a tavern, known as Corky's Bar (Corky was Cora's nickname) until 1971. All this time he also worked at the Mosinee Paper Mill, now known as Wausau Paper. He retired from the mill in 1987 at the age of 65. Peter's hobbies included playing a card game called cribbage, gardening, watching the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team, and the Green Bay Packers football team. Peter died in 1996 from the complications of Leukemia.
